The New Zealand Antique and Historical Arms Association (Incorporated) is dedicated to the discovery, collection and preservation of arms of all descriptions with a view to contributing to the pool of knowledge and to the balance of understanding of their place in society at all periods of history. NZAHAA Half Yearly Meeting The Half Yearly Meeting and auction of the NZ Antique & Historical Arms Association Inc will be held in Whangarei on the 18th October 2008. Lots are currently being accepted for inclusion in the auction by emailing oilyrag@xtra.co.nz NZAHAA Annual General Meeting The 19th April 2008 saw the AGM held at the Poplars Reception Centre in Timaru. This was a "changing of the guard" with Russell W stepping down after two years of consolidation which saw the establishment of the sub committees and the implementation of the Strategic Plan. Robin B has now taken over the reins, moving up from the position of Vice President and Phil C now moving into that role. Robin has a strong desire to see our membership grow and, in a watershed Management Committee meeting on Friday the 18th, Russell steered the meeting to position that would usher in the wishes of the new President. The Annual General meeting was followed by the auctioning of the Late Keith McFadgen's collection and some impressive prices were realised for some equally impressive items. Perham Award The prestigious Perham Award was given to Norm R at the Annual General meeting in recognition of his long term involvement with his Branch and also recognition for the years he gave to the National Organisation. Gordon H gave the citation at the meeting which demonstrated a long and dedicated history. Next meeting of the Association Scheduled to be held in Whangarei on the 18th October. National Shoot 2008 This year's National Shoot is being held on September 13-14 at the Hutt Valley NZDA range at Kaitoke. For more information in PDF format click here.
